Baseway Footwear
A Note from the Coach
As a kid, I loved practicing sports in the backyard, playing sports with friends, going to practice, and competing in games. I was a decent athlete, but I always wanted to be able to run faster.

In high school, I played quarterback, starting as a Junior; but there was a huge problem: I still could not run fast; in fact I was skinny and slow. That offseason, I dove deep into training speed and power with my teammates.

The next year I came back and re-won the starting job and league all star, much due to the improved running speed. More importantly, we had a winning record that year and some great games we still talk about today. This cemented my mindset that if you want something, you make it happen.

In my 20's, I was constantly looking for footwear that would fit my feet better. I felt footwear put my foot in a bad position and spent years experimenting with different combinations of shoes and orthotics.

After a knee scope, an idea hit me that footwear is not structured properly to fit the foot, and that I should make my own shoes. Over these years, I have worked as a strength coach, football coach, track coach, and offseason speed coach; I spent hours... years... cutting up shoes and studying footwear, the foot, and ankle, including barefoot mechanics and the effect of different footwear variables on your biomechanics.

The Baseway Concept is to provide the best combination of footwear and insole to provide a great individualized fit for you, whether you prefer a minimal, moderate, or more supportive feel and function within your shoe.
